Hawaiian Islands in June of 2017 – sailing into the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor to cheering crowds, music and heaps of aloha. This was an unprecedented voyage for a double-hulled Hawaiian voyaging canoe. Built for navigating the South Pacific, Hokule’a – “Star of Gladness” – left Hawaii in May of 2014 and visited Tahiti, New Zealand.
